Press Release: AMR Leader Gathering
On March 2–3, 2026 the Alliance for Mission and Renewal (AMR) gathered over 110 leaders from across the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) for vision-casting and structure-resetting for the ongoing movement of renewal in the denomination. As we met in Nashville, TN the group worshipped together with pastors Paul Kim (San Diego, CA) and Sean Lucas (Memphis, TN) bringing the word and David Cassidy (Boca Raton, FL) leading us in a season of prayer.
There were breakouts on renewing connections, engagement, conversations, and guardrails led by AMR steering team leaders as well as times of fellowship and discussion.
AMR co-chair pastor Joel St. Clair (Silver Spring, MD) observed, “When gifted and godly leaders from across the country gather to speak candidly about the health of the PCA and commit time and resources to renewing our denomination, the result is clarity and encouragement.” Leaders left with an invitation for further engagement with AMR for the health of the PCA.
While this type of gathering is not likely to be an annual event, there are hopes for future regional gatherings, including one in Raleigh, NC in fall 2026.

What are we going to do about the various culture wars within the denomination? Was that discussed?
