This is beautiful! I have several chronic illnesses that have diminished my productivity quite a bit from what it used to be. In the chronic illness community, we often encourage each other with the truth that our value doesn't lie in what we can (or can't) contribute to society, but I so rarely (if ever) hear this message from Christians, so this is a breath of fresh air. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing this beautiful story. We are praying for a child with trisomy 18 that is now 6 months old. She was supposed to not live so many times. I can't imagine the agony of her family. The name Alexander, and your explanation of it, was a beautiful encouragement. Thanks for writing this. Cindy Fischer
